Winter Wreath

I had been looking for something to put on my door that wasn't Christmas"y" but still worked for winter time. I found this idea at http://www.twojunkchix.blogspot.com and decided to make one!

Here's what you will need:

a few silver ornaments

3 different sizes of styrofoam balls

styrofoam wreath

twine looking wrap

yarn in white, off white, dark grey, light grey

hot glue gun

Then you will wrap your wreath and make all your yarn balls.

Then glue all the balls onto the wreath and VUALAAAA it's done!

*Some money saving tips: find a friend to do this with you so you can share the yarn, print out Micheals coupons for 40% off one item.

Old Doors

I think my next project that I want to attempt is turning antique doors into home decor. I really want to try to make a corner shelf by cutting a door in half the way this one was done. To give credit where credit is due, I got this idea from a cute blog called www.littlebirdiesecrets.blogspot.com.

Happy Birthday Best Friend

I just wanted to wish the love of my life a Happy Birthday! 33 Looks good on you, I swear you never age! I was blessed the day I met you and you have made me happier than I ever thought I could be. You are so selfless and I try every day to become more like you. I love you more than I could ever express in words. I can't wait to spend the rest of our lives together......

Look how adorable you were!!! No wonder I wanted to have your babies:)

Even though I know you don't like a lot of attention put on you I love spoiling you and putting you in the spotlight.

You are just as handsome today as the day I married you!

I LOVE how adventurous you are, you make me want to try new things.

You are constantly trying to come up with fun and creative things for us to do as a family.

I love your sense of humor. I still can't believe the only "real" smile I could get from you on our vacation was on a castle toilet that you were so proud to come across:)

I'm a bit of a scaredy cat and I love how safe you make me feel on our travels.

I love you Curtis Wayne Craig!

The Best Idea

My sister, Emily, gave me one of the best Christmas gifts ever. For some time now I've had to go to several different places to find my favorite recipes: online, index cards, recipe books, and random print outs. Now all my "go to" recipes are in one place and I love it! She gathered all my recipes and organized them into a single binder. It's easy to add new recipes to it as well. I recommend that everyone goes out and makes their own favorite recipes binder!

Homeade Oreos

This treat is one of my families favorites and sooo easy. The frosting makes enough to triple the recipe so I just freeze the left overs. This makes the next time I make them even easier. Enjoy!

~Cookies~

1 chocolate cake mix

1/3 C veg oil

2 eggs

~Bake at 350 for 9 min.~

~Frosting~

1 (8 oz) package of cream cheese (softened)

1 cube of butter (softened)

1 pound of powdered sugar

1 tsp vanilla

*After they are put together let them chill in the refrigerator.

Kade's room

Since I gave Austin's room a little makeover Kaden wanted one for his room too. We decided to decorate his room in the colors teal and black with a soccer theme. Since I love designing on a dime I decided to make most of the decorations. This is yet another nightstand that I found at DI. It was just $8.
I added a touch of paint for around $4.

I found these frames at Walmart for $6. I spent $3 for scrapbook paper from Hobby Lobby (3 pieces of teal paper, 1 soccer paper cut up). The big soccer ball in the middle was free, I printed it off an image online.

I went to the fabric store and made this pillow and bedspread. It cost about $40.

A view of his room. The lamp in the corner is from Target.
